Conquering Cebu V: Sibonga

 In Cebu, The Philippines

It has been like 2 months that I didn’t travel in Cebu so, instead I’m posting my other trips with my friends from High School after years of not seeing each other.

We decided to go to SIBONGA, which is another town south of the city centre. It was 2 hours from South Bus Terminal and we still need to ride motorcycles from the main road to the monastery. This is actually my fourth visit (first 3 trips’ photos were also added) and every time I visit the place, it never fails to amaze me. The monastery keeps on growing showing that Christianity is extending its arm wherever you are. Most of the visitors were from outside Cebu. A lot of hearsays were heard about the miraculous Virgin Mary crying bloody tears. It is really true coz every time you ask from Her, She will give it to you but you definitely need to pray first. If you are in need of help and wants to talk to God, give Simala a try and you will feel something that you can’t explain yourself.

UPDATE:

The church is still under construction and extension. The building has extended on both left and right wings.
